I would expect that Michigan State is mad that “Big Brother” Michigan made such a strong showing last week. But they probably also took joy in the fact the game was rained out in the end. Or it’s possible MSU didn’t even know a game was being played in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Either way, with the Michigan game taking much of the spotlight and being the biggest on the board in week #2 with their Under the Lights game, I’m putting my focus on the other in-state team for my first official Big Ten Pick of the Week.
Michigan States offensive line underachieved last week and will focus on getting healthy against the dreadful Florida Atlantic defense.
Florida Atlantic’s offense is more of the same…not good!
Florida finished last in the Sun Belt Conference in yardage gained last season. They only scored 3 points against a decent Florida team in week one. I don’t expect them to score many more than that this week against the MSU defensive unit.
I look for Michigan State’s quarterback Kirk Cousins to put up big numbers in the air against the Florida Atlantic defense. And that’s pretty much all there is to say about that.
Coach Schnellenberger is a classy dude, and this season is not the way you want to go out. It’s going to be a long year for him.
Pick: Michigan State -32 over Florida Atlantic.
