On Monday Brady Hoke picked up some running back depth for the 2012 recruiting class as Salt Lake City Utah’s Sione Houma offered up his verbal commitment to the University of Michigan.
Houma finished out his 2010 high school season by rushing for a total of 1,064 yards and 7 touchdowns overall with 716 yards and six touchdowns on 76 carries coming in the last four games of the season. That performance helped propel his team to the 4a high school football championship.
The 6-foot, 210-pound fullback was sited as having trouble holding on to the ball early in the 2010 season, but worked real hard with ball security and finished his last five games without turning the ball over.
Houma is considered to be a physical strong back with good speed and an outstanding work ethic.
