On Saturday, the Michigan Wolverines picked up another recruit commitment for their 2014 class from the three-star-rated linebacker Chase Winovich out of Thomas Jefferson High School in Clairton, Pa.
The 6-foot-3 Winovich is listed on average as the 30th overall player at his position in the nation and has been fielding offers from schools such as OSU, MSU and Arkansas among others.
Many expected Chase to choose Ohio State since as recently as April he publicly stated his affection for the team down south. But once again, a recruit new better.
With Winovich’s commitment, Brady Hoke’s No. 1 rated 2014 class (ESPN and 247 Sports) now stands at 12 spots full.
