Michigan beats OSU 72-69, on to the title game

Our Wolverines sure like to make the games interesting and after leading by double-figures, multiple times, Michigan hangs on to beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 72-69 in the semifinal round of the Big Ten Conference tournament.

Now Blue awaits the winner of the Michigan State vs. Wisconsin game coming up next.

Nik Stauskus led the Wolverines with 18 points and 4-of-8 from three-point range.

The Wolverines led by as many as 16 in the first half and held a 12 point lead mid-way through the second. The Buckeyes would not go quietly and took their first lead of the game with just under 8 minutes to play with a Sam Thompson dunk to make the score 61-60.

But the Wolverines took advantage of some poor OSU free throw shooting and hung on for the win. Michigan finished the game with a 7-to-1 run.

One more game Blue! Then it starts all over again.

Hail Yeah! Go Blue!!
