Michigan earned a #2 seed in the 2014 NCAA men’s tournament and will face the Southern Conference tournament champion Wofford Terriers in the Midwest region.
Wofford finished their season with a 20-12 record overall and 11-5 in-conference.
Should Michigan advance past their first two games, a potential match-up with Duke could await and possibly a meeting with the only undefeated team in college basketball this year, Wichita State. And then there’s also the possibility of a rematch of the 2013 title game against current National Champion Louisville Cardinals.
Any way you slice it, the Midwest region looks to be the toughest. Michigan will need to make shots all-along the way to do well. A shooting night like the one completed against MSU and it will be a short run in 2014.
The Spartans earned their victory playing a tough, physical game and as a result are now, with their #4 seed, a media favorite to win it all. Good luck with that!
