Michigan Moments #24 – October 1st, 2005

Michigan’s place kicker #38 Garrett Rivas jumps into the arms of his Michigan teammates in celebration after kicking the game winning 35-yard field goal in overtime to beat the then 4-0 MSU Spartans in East Lansing.

After the dramatic victory, Michigan coach Lloyd Carr stated that he would “never forget this day.” In addition, Garret is Michigan’s all-time leading scorer with 354 points and he also owns the Michigan record of 64 career field goals made.
