The #2 seed Michigan Wolverines of coach John Beilein had little problem with the 15th seeded Wofford Terriers as the Wolverines advanced in the Midwest region of NCAA Championship tournament held in the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
It was a Nice win today for the Wolverines as they rebounded well from the poor shooting performance in the Big Ten title game to shoot almost 50% from the field today (47.7%) en route to the 57-40 victory in their Midwest region opener.
Nik Stauskas led the Wolverines with 15 points and Glenn Robinson III played inspired with his 14 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Jordan Morgan continued his solid play putting up a double-double grabbing 10 rebounds to go with his 10 points.
Wofford connected on only 1-of-19 three-point attempts in the game as the Wolverines connected on 7 of their 17.
Michigan will next take on the winner of the Arizona State /Texas game to be player later today.
