Ahh how good it is to be recognized once again for the hard work and effort put in during the week and carried over onto the field on game day? And thanks to the Associated Press for once again placing Brady Hoke’s Michigan Wolverines in their AP Top 25 college football rankings poll.
Especially when all the Wolverines did to earn that honor was go on the road to West Lafayette and dismantle the “up and coming” — and some media folks pick to win the Big Ten this year — Purdue Boilermakers 44-13 behind Denard Robinson’s 235 yards rushing and Greg Mattison’s now stingy defense.
Sure the coaches have yet to come around, but soon they shall.
In other Big Ten news, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Northwestern Wildcats both fell out of the top 25 in the two major polls as a result of their losses on the road this weekend to Ohio State and Penn State respectively.
Currently the state of the Big Ten Conference is pretty grim with Ohio State #8 being the only other team to be ranked and that is only in the AP poll. There are no Big Ten teams worthy of said honors according to the coaches at this time.
Ouch Big Ten! Ouch!
