Say what you want about “The Team!” Though without a singular leader and individual voice to shape, mold and forge a team’s character, spirit and will, you won’t have much.
In his first year at ]V[ichigan, Brady Hoke exceeded almost every expectation and commanded his Wolverine team to an 11-2 record including the season ending 23 – 20 BCS Sugar Bowl victory over the evenly matched Virginia Tech Hokies down in the bayous of Louisiana.
Yet by Hoke’s own declaration the day he was publicly introduced in January of 2011, “If you don’t win your conference championships, there’s no way in heck you’re going to win a national championship. Our goal is to win the Big Ten championship.”
So his mission and the team’s mission are not complete. In addition to the conference title there is one more piece of business that needs to be taken care of at home in the Big House on October 20th, 2012. And I believe strongly that it shall be.
In 23 days, their mission continues…
(Do I need to say anything here? If you see this, like it! If you like it, share it! It’s the Hoke thing to do! Go Blue!)
