The University of Michigan football team has elected their 2012 captains for the upcoming football season. Two captains were selected by the team, and it should not come as a surprise to any Hokeamaniac out there, Sr. Quarterback Denard Robinson and Sr. Safety Jordan Kovacs.
“Denard and Jordan are two guys who represent what Michigan football stands for, on and off the field, and they certainly are deserving of being named team captains,” Michigan coach Brady Hoke said. “They have played a lot of football here. I know they will do a great job of leading the seniors and Team 133.”
Denard Robinson, a two-time team MVP, and Jordan Kovacs, who made the team after two student tryouts, were announced as captains Sunday night.
