Top recruit Jabrill Peppers picks Michigan says, “I had a dream!”

The Michigan Wolverines’ currently No.1 ranked 2014 draft class (ESPN and 247 Sports) now has 11 spots filled thanks to the announcement by 5-star cornerback and one of the nation’s top prospects Jabrill Peppers who proclaimed his love for Michigan and stated he would be joining the Wolverine family once his high school days are over.

Peppers actually rapped his official announcement in an ESPNU televised interview on Sunday declaring that he always “loved” Michigan ever since he was a kid and that he had “this dream” since he was 7 that one day he would play for Michigan.

The multidimensional 6-1, 210 pound-player not only had 77 tackles and three interceptions on the defensive side of the ball last season he also rushed for 1,552 yards with 18 touchdowns on offense and caught 20 passes for 337 yards with five scores as well.

It has been rumored that Peppers might lean the Wolverine way as his Paramas (N.J.) Catholic teammate offensive lineman Juwann Bushell-Beatty picked Michigan some time ago.

Peppers also felt strongly about a few of the other schools that were recruiting him like Penn State and Stanford but ultimately knew Michigan was the right choice after visiting the campus in Ann Arbor.

Peppers is regarded by some to be the No. 2 ranked overall player (Rivals) in the country and this announcement only solidifies the recruiting job head coach Brady Hoke and his staff have been doing since walking on campus some two-and-a-half years ago. - May the Hoke be with you! © January 11th, 2011
