Brady Hoke appears to be looking to fill up all remaining available spots in his 2012 recruiting class before he even coaches his first official game at Michigan as defensive end out of Toledo, Ohio Chris Wormley offered up his verbal commitment to the Hokester’ on Sunday.
The 6-5, 250-pound (Scout) Wormley had been offered by every Big Ten school except for Penn State and Minnesota yet recently narrowed his choices down to Ohio State and Michigan.
Wormley made his choice known official on a weekend visit to Ann Arbor.
Since taking over the head coaching position at Michigan, Brady Hoke has made a point to emphasize the importance of returning the recruiting focus back to the Midwest specifically by building the foundation with kids from Michigan and Ohio. 17 of the 21 verbal commitments so far for Michigan’s 2012 class are either from Ohio or Michigan.
Wormley is considered by most to be a solid 4-star athlete and highly regarded for his position nationally.
